CoverMyMeds is healthcare technology company who first entered the market with software that digitized and streamlined the prior authorization process to help healthcare providers get faster determinations from insurance payers on prescribed medications and therapies for patients.
I was working on one of CoverMyMeds’ core products, the web portal where users start, complete, and manage prior authorization requests.
My Teams & Role
I was the sole embedded UX designer across the three core portal teams that included UX researchers, product managers, software engineers, and data analysts.
As the designer, I was responsible for:
low and high fidelity visual design
interaction design
accessibility design
workshop facilitation
supporting exploratory and usability research
The Work
These were the core efforts I supported:
Redesigning and supporting the rebuild of the CoverMyMeds portal with our new design system
Ideating, designing, and testing new capabilities to benefit both our user and customer bases
Advocating for and implementing WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards into the portal
Facilitating collaborative activities both on the product team and organizational levels
